Logs and Troubleshooting
Log Files
Logs are stored at:
%APPDATA%\GateControl\logs\main.logMaximum file size: 5 MB (automatic rotation).
Log Viewer in the App
- Open the Logs tab
- The last 200 lines are displayed
- Refresh button for current entries
What is Logged
- App start and shutdown
- Tunnel connection and disconnection
- Kill switch activation/deactivation
- Config polling results
- Reconnect attempts and results
- API errors and timeouts
- Firewall rule changes
