Installing GateControl Windows Client

There are two installation options:

Installer (.exe)

1. Download GateControl Setup.exe
2. Right-click → Run as administrator
3. Follow the installation wizard

The installer automatically creates a desktop shortcut, start menu entry and Windows Firewall rule.

Portable Version

Simply right-click GateControl.exe and run as administrator — no installation needed.

Initial Setup

1. In the GateControl Web UI under Settings → API & Webhooks, create a new API token with the Client App scope
2. In the client under Settings, enter the server URL and API key
3. Click Test Connection, then Save & Register

The client registers as a new peer and automatically downloads the WireGuard configuration.
