About this plugin
This plugin is a password manager on your own GateControl server, with its own “Vault” tab in the GateControl Android app and the GateControl Windows client. It stores logins, 2FA codes (TOTP), secure notes, cards and Wi-Fi credentials – personal or in shared vaults for your family or team, with roles per person.
Encryption and decryption happen only on your devices (Argon2id and XChaCha20-Poly1305). The server stores nothing but data it cannot read; not even the administrator sees any passwords. When sharing, you confirm the other person's safety number.
On Android, Vault fills in logins in apps and the browser automatically; on Windows you find any entry with Ctrl+Alt+P. Plus a password generator, history and trash, import from Bitwarden, 1Password, KeePass or the browser. Entries are available offline as well and sync without the VPN.
With the recovery key you get back to your data even without the master password, and trusted people get access in an emergency after a waiting period that you can cancel at any time.
