Why VLANs make sense in a homelab and how to properly separate IoT devices, guests, and servers.

Your smart TV does not need to talk to your NAS. Your guests should not have access to your management interface. And your IoT vacuum has no business in the server VLAN. VLANs solve all these problems elegantly.
